      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Ware Malcomb (Miami, FL) nel mese di nov 2016

      Colloquio

As soon as I enter the office I was greeted by one of the employees, who seem to halt his hello when he saw me. I was than greeted by the person I was to interview with and he quickly sat me down for the interview. As soon as we sat down he ask one question (which was how are you today?) then he proceeded to tell me that there is a test I needed to take. He said that this test was given by the company, and that the headquarters in California will determine if it met there standards. I offer my resume to him because after telling that he has no control in hiring he ask me...How well do you know AutoCad, and Revit? I told him I use to be an AutoCad drafter and all the projects I did I used Revit. He said that he would give me a AutoCad exam. During the exam one of the employees were upset and he seem to not like working there. It got so bad that the person the was conducting the interview felt he had to say he love his job. The office was small so I wonder how they would accommodated another person working there. After the test, I was taken back to the meeting room and asked more questions, as if the interview just started. I was asked about salary, why do I want to work here....and etc. Towards the end he gave me a timeline and his card before I left. After a day I wrote a thank you email and he wrote that he will be wrapping up the interview process next week. I thought wow that was fast. But this is when it became weird...Naturally when you are finalizing interviews you dont advertise for a position if you have selected someone. That Friday they advertised that the position was still available. So I am like okay....maybe I did not do so well on the test (I was nervous taking the test, so I thought maybe my nerves got the best of me) and I did not get the position. I waited a week after finding out that they advertised for the position and than the following Friday they advertised again. I also did not hear back from them like he said in the email before. So, I dont get the job, I am fine with that. But not contacting me to let me know when you said you were is very unprofessional and it is a reflection of how they would treat you when you receive the job. So after two weeks I called to ask what I could improve on (since they think I dont know that they have been advertising to ask them what were some of the reasons I did not get the job) I called the person that set up the interview and she told me that they selected a candidate and that I didn't have enough experience for an internship. And I asked can you be more specific because I have worked with an Architect and Engineer before. In my head I was thinking how much experience do you expect a student to have considering they are looking for students. Well than I dont know she told me... she said she will ask the guy I interview with why I wasn't selected. She was very nice and understanding that I hold nothing against why I wasn't selected.I was actually happy that they selected someone. At that time I didn't know that they were lying about selecting someone. I did get a call back when I was in class and she left a message. In the message she told me that someone scored higher than me on the exam and that I should practice my AutoCad even through its an old method. So I thought okay I need to work on my skills that's great. (by the way I currently work as an intern somewhere else) But than the end of the week rolled around and they put another positing for the position on craigslist. On craigslist when you advertised and want to make sure people will see it, you have to place the ad repeatedly every other day or week to ensure your ad will end up on top. I used to be a fan of this company, but honestly I dont trust them anymore. They lied multiple times. I was warned from other reviews about the bias, the low pay,and other things but I never judge anyone till I meet them myself. I encourage anyone thinking about joining this company to do the same.My experiences may not be yours. Just be cautious. I hope you have a great day!!! Good luck!!
