      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Weis Markets (Sunbury, PA) nel mese di mag 2013

      Colloquio

Weis seems to wait awhile after you submit an application to begin contacting people, so if you don't receive a contact within the first week, don't be concerned. I had thought they had long passed me up by the time I received an email asking me to schedule an interview. The email comes from their receptionist, and she's very nice but doesn't have a great deal of information about the actual job. She will just schedule the interview with you. The interview is held in their corporate office in Sunbury, in the HR department. The place you enter is kind of difficult to find. You will be able to find the actual industrial building, but keep going down the road until it ends in a parking lot. There are two entrances, and you'll go in the door with "Human Resources" on it. Once you arrive, expect to be waiting for awhile. I was there for almost three hours. They will do two interviews - the first is generally with the HR manager, the second with the hiring manager and one of the leads. The HR manager will ask you about how you heard about the company, and what you know about Weis. She will also explain the benefits etc. After this, you are taken back to the waiting room where you have to fill out another application in person. The application says that everything must be filled out to be considered, so be prepared with all your work history (including addresses and phone numbers) and references. After this, you will have to take a personality test by ten-key. They will give you a booklet of over 50 questions, and you will enter your responses using a ten-key. Be really careful to hit the right keys so you don't have to start over! This is one of those tests where they are trying to catch you by asking the same question 10 different ways. Questions about stealing from work, or being violent. Read the wording back in your head before answering so you don't inadvertently select the wrong answer. After the personality test, you will interview with the hiring manager and lead. The hiring manager usually lets the lead take most of the questioning, and it's pretty standard questioning - Tell me about yourself, talk about a time when you handled an upset customer... Again, be prepared to come with examples of situations. After the interview, it may take another week before you receive a call. The great thing about this process, is that the HR manager sets the expectation clearly "Whether you got the job or not, we will call and let you know." She seemed to really understand how frustrating it is to be searching for a job and to never hear back.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

There wasn't really anything unexpected - Standard interview questions.
