      Candidatura

La procedura ha richiesto più di una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Wheels Up (Hamburg, NY)

      Colloquio

two rounds : one with HR and manager, common Behavior questions, background check etc; the last round is take home assessment. ****** worst interview experience I ever had ***** They gave me a take home question and asked for math model and associated code in 24h(they gave me whole weekend). I only used one day and came up with a nice model, coded in python and wrote a report. But they told me i didn’t get the offer because There are some issues(or definition confusion) with the problem description and they intentionally did that and wanted me request for more info, which i i didn’t. first, i think what they want is to check whether the candidate is willing to communicate with them. However, I seriously doubted it. i misunderstood a concept from the given problem description and but i did explain my solution in the report by assuming some assumptions but i didn’t request for clarification because it was in the weekend and i felt it might be inappropriate to interrupt them. But in the report, i clarify this and the whole model still work with little modification. I think they become really picky because i didn’t reach out for more info. The interviewee even said he didn’t have Gurobi license and can’t run my python script. and this also becomes a reason i didn’t get the job. I spent one day (i was moving to a new apt the other day )and worked until 3am to get it done. it seems they care more about the imperfect answer ( even tho a slight modification to the model will make my method work).
