The first contact was from an internal talent acquisition person who seemed to be responsible for the initial high level screening of candidates. During the first phone conversation, he asked general questions to clarify information on my resume pertaining to experience. He also, provided some level of detail of the open position for which he thought I would be a good candidate. The next step in the process was phone interview with the hiring manager. This hour long interview consisted of more detailed questions regarding my professional experience. The next step was an all day interviewing process where I interviewed with 7 teams of two people each for an hour. My perception of the people was that they were very proud of working at Whirlpool and they all said they company treats its employees well. Overall, it was a very pleasant interviewing experience. The process allows the candidate to get to know the company and people while they are assessing your qualifications. My advice is to just be yourself and know several specific accomplishments from past experience.
