The interview was set up by someone from HR and I had to email my resume twice (once in response to their Craigslist ad, and another to an official email that was posted with the job on their website), plus a follow up email to even get a response from them. It was over Skype with the VP since she was in San Diego and this was a position at the new Asheville location. The interview went alright. It was more of a conversation than an interview. Definitely no "describe your strengths/weaknesses" questions. But she barely asked any questions, and I felt like I wasn't able to "sell myself" for the position which was very frustrating as I was absolutely qualified. She was nice and I didn't feel like I had a bad interview, just that I never had the chance to really prove to her that I could be great at this position. I sent a thank you email the next day to thank her for taking time to interview me and to reiterate my interest and passion for the industry and received no response. I sent a follow up email three weeks later to see where they were in the hiring process (I needed to know whether or not to hold out for this job) only to have her (FINALLY) tell me that they decided to move forward with another candidate. If I had not emailed to follow up I'm pretty sure that she would have never let me know this.
