I was really impressed by Wikimedia's interview process — especially their team's solid communication and professionalism. I had applied online, and within a week or so they contacted me for a phone screen with HR (really great call that felt like a real human conversation). After that, I met with the team's design manager for a 30-minute interview. Following that, I turned in a take-home assignment. While I didn't make it to the next step, their communication was absolutely fantastic and I appreciated their professionalism. They have multiple rounds in their interview process because they really want to make sure they find the right fit. I was never left in the dark — HR kept me informed every step of the way.

About a week after applying online for the position I got an email from a recruiter. She was very sweet and we had a great chat through Google Hangouts. She was interested about how I'd fit in the company. Right after the interview I got an email with instructions about the next step.
The next step took place 10 days later and it was another interview — now with one of their senior designers. He was a very nice and empathetic guy. I really enjoyed talking to him.
After the interview I got an email saying that I was approved to be part of the next step: a design test. Basically I was asked to design some aspects of a native Android app — and so I did. I was actually very confident after sending them the designs.
Two weeks later I got an email saying that they felt that the supplementary text I sent them explaining the design process wasn't strong enough.
Overall it was an enjoyable and honest process. At the time I felt I deserved some richer feedback about what went wrong, though.
