so after eight weeks of random e-mails and several unanswered phone calls this hr person calls me and says ive got a scheduled interview. So i make the interview it goes fairly well and then at the end of the interview the branch manager tells me he wants to increase production, and he is only hiring one person. He also informs me that he has narrowed it down from 75 candidates to 10, and that when he gets it down to 3 he will be calling people in for a weld test. Although he said they dont certify welders...And during the interview he was not familiar with a basic phrase that welders use "pipe spool welding" ...I was under the impression that this guy had no idea what i was talking about when i conveyed my work experience to him....Im seriously overqualified for this entry level position according to the basic job description....And now its been a couple more weeks and they still cant narrow it down to 3 candidates.....All i can say is wow you guys are saying you need someone, but getting in the door is a 2 or 3 month process...I have since sought out other work and if they ever call me i may just tell them that the hiring process is broken and they treat it like your going to work at a nuclear power plant.....ridiculous......
