I was contacted by a recruiter for an interview as they thought my experience aligned well with what they were looking for. The recruiter and I chatted for about 10 minutes. They seemed to think that the hiring manager would be very interested in chatting with me, and we aligned well on compensation, hours, expectations so far. My interview with the hiring manager went well, but they seemed extremely exhausted. We aligned very well on what I do currently and what they expect from an SE moving into their Commercial/SMB team. The only non-alignment piece was I wasn't terribly familiar with CI/CD development pipelines. Ultimately, they decided not to move me forward past this interview. I believe this is because they needed someone to fit exactly every bit of experience needed with very little ramp-up time needed.
