General question about experience on business analytics. Mostly focus on SQL and BI tools. It was a good experience, but in the end I didn’t get any feedback or updates from HR and line manager

I first got contacted by the recruiter which then set a video interview with the director of the department. There was a sound issue during the interview, however, the style of the interview was pretty chilled. Yet, the interviewer told me to be confident that I am in the next stage and I should expect a call directly from him which will include me giving a mock presentation on a topic they will choose. After waiting for 3 weeks, the recruiter sent me an apology email which explains that there were better candidates and he cannot comment on the interviewers choice of words. It seemed very unprofessional and the way I got treated was very disrespectful. Either the recruiter should be a part of the interview or the interviewer should be very careful before giving false confidence. Very very unpleasant.
