Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Workday (Pleasanton, CA) nel mese di set 2011
Colloquio
Applied on their web site and didn't hear back for about a month. Then spoke with the HR person and scheduled a time to talk with a former colleague from a previous company. That went as expected. Onsite followed a week or so later, consisting of three hours of sitting at a computer making their broken test code run and implementing some basic logic in their application code. Then went to lunch with four people, mostly developers. After lunch was a panel review of my code changes, followed by a 1:1 with a developer and then an overview of the system by the hiring manager (the same former colleague). After a week or so got a voice mail with no specifics and I declined to call back; received a few more voice mails, no email. I assume I failed. Even if not, it was such a miserable interview I didn't want to accept even if they did offer.

What do you think of unit testing and mock objects?

Overall process was smooth. The HRs were professional, and quick follow-up. Recruiters were friendly too. Many openings with different roles, you are able to interview for different roles at the same time

The interviews consisted of 1 design, 2 behavioral and 1 demo of their product. The last interviewer behaved rude and raised his tone while speaking. Disappointing behavior from him. Other interviewers were ok I think

This was pre-pandemic. I had a recruiter call, followed by the hiring manager call. I didn't think it was technical. After than, I went onsite and did 4 interviews back to back. The results came after a few days.

Since it's app dev, the interview was very easy. There wasn't really any LC style of questions, but more on class diagrams/relationships.
