First you get a telephone screening and the Woman on the phone was huffing and puffing and seemed like she didn’t really want to call me. At first it seemed like I was talking to an AI bot! After the telephone screening I was processed through to the next stage and had a Microsoft teams interview which was okay and the supervisor was very nice. I did great and got offered a final interview for the following week. The final interview was a mess. The guy couldn’t even turn his camera on and I was left facing his initials on a screen. It seemed like he was trying to put me off the job as I studied at university and had a degree in the related field. It felt like I had to continously explain myself why I wanted to be a surveyor when the degree I studied involved surveying as the process and that’s something I enjoyed doing at uni. I didn’t get the job offer as I assume I am overly qualified for the job and can certainly do much better. By looking at company reviews and the way staff is treated I’m taking it as a blessing to be rejected as I would’ve most likely declined the offer anyways due to the bad experiences most staff go through.
