The interview went very well and I was offered a four hour trial shift. I turned up for this and the person I was meant to be shown around by was off sick. I was shown what to do by another assistant and the shift was assisted by other staff from the building. I worked hard and well, with the other assistant commenting on how well I was doing and how hard I worked. I stayed longer than the 4 hours as there was nobody around to speak with. When someone did come to speak with me she told me I would hear in the next two days. It’s now over a week and they haven’t messaged or called me. I sent a message to them 4 days ago and this has been ignored. 4 hours of hard graft, no job offer or payment for the hours.

This was a mock interview. Although the interviewers had to talk to many of the students in my course group, they gave everyone their utmost attention and attentiveness, as though each student was the only interviewee.
