      Colloquio per Carrier Sales Manager

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso XPO

      Colloquio

I have almost 5 years of experience in carrier sales with a competitor, so they were interested in me for a manager role. Had a 30 min phone interview with a recruiter who was over 10 minutes late calling but whatever, it was pretty standard. She liked me and asked when I could come in to meet with the senior managers, which I wasn't able to do due to traveling for my current position, so they agreed to interview me over the phone to start. I was called by 3-4 guys who clearly were sitting in a conference room and had me on speaker phone. They were very hard to hear, unprofessional and kept talking over each other and it was very difficult to hear the questions and know who was talking to me. They also didn't seem to know what I was interviewing for because the majority of their questions were totally sales oriented - how do I build relationships, tell them about my current sales techniques, etc. After about 45 minutes of this, one of the guys jokes "Wow, you have a lot of experience, we might want to bring you on as a manager, not as a carrier rep" I played it off and said I would be interested, but really I was furious that I just wasted almost an hour of my time listening to these idiots when they didn't even low what I was interviewing for. They told me that the original recruiter would be in touch with me in a few days regarding the next steps, and they must have really been interested because she called an hour later asking me to come in. I let her know how terrible my interview was because not only were the men on the phone extremely unprofessional but they literally had no idea what I was interviewing for or any of my qualifications and I was no longer interested - she proceeded to call me every day for the next few weeks trying to get me to reconsider, all of which were calls I never returned.

      Domanda 1

Pretty standard - just be yourself and you'll probably be smarter than the people interviewing you.
