      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Xtreme Lashes

      Colloquio

This role or a version of it has been posted for 4+years. Leadership and hiring do not know what they want ..."could be a CMO or a VP or a Director, depends what we find" - Red Flag. Process is one-sided and asks way too much of an executive with deep expertise and gives no opportunity for interviewee to ask questions. Before an initial phone call, I was presented with more than 20 questions (with an equal number of sub-questions) via email. These were all marketing basics that were tactical in nature and thus not representing a strategic marketing executive role - Red Flag. After those questions, and within the same email, you're asked if you will complete a 1-3 year strategic plan, a SWOT analysis, and proctored assessments - Red Flag. To be clear, I said "NO" to a 1-3 year strategic plan and SWOT analysis. My time is too valuable to waste on this but I had a morbid curiosity to continue to see how things would play out - who knows, maybe they would surprise me? Upon speaking with the interviewer (after them being 15+ minutes late for calls or last minute reschedules because they are "so busy"), be prepared to listen and not speak. They talk in circles (because they have no idea what they are looking for) and leave no time for your questions - Red Flag. If you move forward after this, as I did, be prepared for 3+ hours of assessments where you will share your screen so they can to "make sure you're not cheating" - Red Flag. If you do make their short list, they will drag you along for months thinking you're moving forward through their process, which is being presented during Saturday morning leadership meetings. Saturday? Red Flag. Overall assessment: steer clear of this organization. They are unorganized and unable to clearly articulate what they want in executive leadership. Not worth the investment of time and subject matter expertise. Loads of red flags and clear trust issues as noted in their job posting: "Please do not apply if your ethics are not beyond reproach."

      Domanda 1

They asked for a one-year plan in addition to many hours of assessments.

Thanks for your feedback. We regret you had a negative interview experience and were expecting a much quicker and simpler interview for this high-level role, but we look at the interview process differently. Xtreme lashes does everything – from hiring to training to product development and sales - in a very structured, organized, systematic way so that we get the best results. We try to quickly weed out those who are not the right fit, and then use follow-up conversations and assessments to get to know the personalities, skills, and experiences of our top remaining candidates to determine who might be the best fit while simultaneously giving our candidates the opportunity to get to know us better. June of 2022 is the first time we have posted for the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Position at Xtreme Lashes. We knew we needed someone to lead the department and help take the Company to the next level, and created a very detailed job description that outlined those expectations. As you indicated in your feedback, we explain our interview process in the beginning to manage the expectations of our candidates. Understanding that many candidates are currently employed, we do our best to accommodate their schedules and make ourselves available evenings and weekends if needed for them to meet with us. Every step of the way, candidates are encouraged to ask questions and, in addition, each candidate has direct access to the Director of HR and Operations to whom they can reach out to at any time as other questions or concerns come up. While we are always trying to evolve and streamline the process further, we love that our new hires are excited and engaged, and feel like a part of Xtreme Lashes team even before their first day.
