      Colloquio

      The interview process was lengthy and extended over months. There were interviews, a 2 hour proctored test, a project, a presentation… it totaled about 5-6 interviews. It took up about 10 hours of my time total. While everyone was very nice I interacted with I think that their company, as other companies that do this, should respect candidates’ time more. I have an infant and a full-time job and this significantly impacted my life and took away time I could have spent with my son or taking care of things at home in the window of time I have when not working or being a mom and wife. I think companies should reconsider their interview process, think of their candidates as people, and find other ways besides too many interviews and lengthy unpaid projects and tests. I didn’t get the position in the end, which I understand and appreciate, but it makes the time I spent on it meaningless and a frustrating waste of time.

      Thanks for your feedback. We regret that you had a lengthy experience and were expecting a much quicker and simpler interview for this high-level role, but we look at the interview process differently. Xtreme lashes does everything – in a very structured, organized, systematic way so that we get the best results. We try to quickly weed out those who are not the right fit, and then use follow-up conversations and assessments to get to know the personalities, skills, and experiences of our top remaining candidates to determine who might be the best fit while simultaneously giving our candidates the opportunity to get to know us better. As you indicated in your feedback, we explain our interview process in the beginning to manage the expectations of our candidates. Understanding that many candidates are currently employed and have families, we do our best to accommodate their schedules and make ourselves available evenings and weekends if needed for them to meet with us. Every step of the way, candidates are encouraged to ask questions and, in addition, each candidate has direct access to the Director of HR and Operations to whom they can reach out to at any time as other questions or concerns come up.
