An initial phone interview consisting of a discussion of what I was interested and if Zachry was able to offer what I wanted (approximately 15 minutes). The phone interview was followed by an electronic submission of 2 supervisor references and 3 co-worker/team member references. Then I had a formal interview with the Intern Program Coordinator from the human resources department, my potential hiring manager (a Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer), and a Mechanical Design Engineer from the Engineering Department. They asked typical interview questions: tell me about yourself, extracurricular activities, coursework, and where you see yourself in X number of years. In addition they described the format of the internship program and Zachry's culture.
