I did not get the chance to even talk to anybody. They sent me an online assessment form. The first page contained 5 or 6 questions like "Do you have VMWare certifications?" (I do not, but I have experience), "Do you have Cisco certifications?" (I do), "Do you have an education in IT field?" - I do not. I hit "Send" and immediately got a response - you're not a fit. Alright. I did not even have a chance to mention that I have more than 16 years of expertise and worked for companies from the Bay Area for many years - but who cares, right? Your education matters, the university that you've graduated 17 years ago, but your actual expertise is irrelevant.
