      Colloquio per Account Executive

      16 dic 2020

      Offerta accettata

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un'altra fonte. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Zipi (CA) nel mese di dic 2020

      Colloquio

It was pretty quick and informal. 2 initial calls with Jesse the CEO and 1 call with a sales consultant named John then an offer was made (but quickly rescinded). Upwind being offered the job verbally over a video call, Jesse asked me to proved a start date. After providing start date so Jesse could write up a formal offer letter he emailed me back to inform me that they decided to give the job to someone else as that person could start earlier. I found this very strange and unethical as they had (1) already offered me the job and 2 days later take it back? (2) didn’t tell me when they wanted me to start or ask if i could start earlier. I think this shows the manner in which the CEO would like to run his business which is an unethical manner and it’s probably a good thing it worked out this way. I imagine the CEO knew I would wanted to have negotiated the salary that was considerably lower than what was initially explained to me. Shady business practices abound.

This is truly an unfortunate post and I'm disappointed that I even have to respond, because who is it going to benefit... nobody! Yes, we did discuss moving forward in the process but an offer letter was never extended. During our last call you were asked to provide us with one deliverable. Two days later you emailed asking if an offer letter was sent. The lack of attention to detail and follow through was cause for concern and a few reasons we chose not to move forward. We were very clear about our compensation plan from the very beginning and nothing changed during the process. I was not the slightest bit concerned if you wanted to negotiate your salary. I'm always prepared for everyone to negotiate their salary, especially sales associates, but you never mentioned any issues or concerns with our compensation structure until I read it in this post. I'm not going to address the unethical or shady comments. I'll let our team members speak for the company. At the end of the day, we wish you the best of luck and hope you find a job that suits you.
