I had a phone screen with their in-house recruiter. He was very charismatic and high energy, as was the job posting he assembled which read as a very quirky and zany company. The phone screen went well, so then they brought me in to meet with my potential boss, two peer colleagues, as well as the President and CFO. It was all conversational - no curve balls. However, it became very clear the recruiter's energy and tone were not a general representation of the company or the role, so that was a bit of a let down. My potential boss did not agree with the directive to fill this particular position so he spent his interview time discouraging me. Conversely the management team spent their time selling me on the role. After accepting the position i realized the company was fairly polarized across many issues like this.
