I was referred to the recruiting by one of their employees who was a former junior work colleague. Having working on the very same industry for several years as a senior associate, I did an unpaid trial task (for which they said that they had donated "25 USD" to a charity of their choice -- wait, what?) which was kind of long and reviewed it about a week later with 2 senior engineers. I have worked as a reviewer myself and was able to assess my task was working and had good quality. No feedback on my task or my interview. Zero comment about my work or application. After I insisted for several times they replied that they simply hired other candidate because he was better. I think they're a big company and few weeks later I see the very same job ad active again for hiring. Plain non sense
