      I applied for the SAP Ariba Consultant position at apsolut via a referral, which allowed the process to begin quickly. The first round of interviews was conducted with an HR representative and the project manager. This stage was professional, well-organized, and gave a good impression of the company. I was then invited to a second round, which was a technical interview with senior consultants involved in the project. We had a productive and engaging conversation, focusing on relevant technical topics. The interaction was respectful and insightful, and I appreciated the opportunity to speak directly with potential colleagues. However, the experience took a disappointing turn afterward. Despite being told the position was urgent and they were actively seeking to fill it, I was left without any updates for over two months. My follow-up emails during this time went unanswered. Eventually, I reached out directly to the HR contact and was told that another candidate had been selected. No feedback was given, and no communication was made until I initiated it. To add to the confusion, the same job vacancy remains listed on their official website, suggesting the role may not have been filled at all. This experience reflects poorly on the company’s candidate communication and follow-up practices. HR represents the company to future employees, and a lack of transparency, updates, or closure reflects a mismanaged recruiting process. Apsolut appears to have a strong team on the technical side, but unfortunately, the hiring process did not reflect the same level of professionalism or respect for candidates’ time.
