Got a call from recruiter who set me up with an interview with the hiring manager. A week later, I talk to him. He said the interview would last only 5 to 10 minutes. The tone of the interview was set when the second sentence he said was that he was looking over my resume and "trying to figure out how I fit." With that enthusiastic statement of my candidacy, I assumed I didn't get it. And was confirmed in an email the same day. Overall interview process was cold and I wondered why both of our times were wasted when it seemed the hiring manager's mind was already made up.
