Went through a staffing agency and had two phone interviews. For the final round interview, went into the office for three hours, where I had three in-person interviews and had to make an hour-long presentation.
During the first two calls, I immediately clicked with the hiring manger and one of the small group sales managers. They asked the normal interview questions and we had a great conversation that was easy flowing and natural. However, when I was brought in for the final round, each person I met with was five minutes late to our meeting time and seemed like they were extremely bored waiting for the thirty minutes to be up. The managers that I met with acted if I was wasting their time and kept checking their watches and phones. The last person I met with was one of the sales reps who showed me around the office. He scoffed when I asked about work/life balance telling me he works from 7am-8pm at night. Does not seem like a supportive group at all as he judged those who did not eat lunch at their desks if they had not hit their sales goals yet.
During the final portion, I presented two presentations--the first part was selling them a product that I sell at my current job. I was told by multiple people they would ask a ton of questions and throw many objections to make me uncomfortable. When I was presenting, after every slide, they were silent when I asked if there were any questions. They were looking at their phones the whole time and were extremely rude. I almost asked them what I had just said on the previous slide, or if I was just simply wasting both of our time? Unfortunately, I kept going into the second portion of the presentation--an overview of AthenaHealth's value proposition. I finished that in about five minutes and asked if they had questions--they were silent. I was whisked out of the room awkwardly afterwards and left. The recruiter told me they'd reach out and they never did.
From the outside, seems like a cool company to work for, however, when you get a glimpse of the inside, all you see is miserable people. The only reason your allowed to bring your dog to work is because your never at home to take care of it!
