The first interview was with two designers from the product team — they were nice and cordial, and asked fairly basic questions. I was asked to present a case study during the interview, which hadn't been communicated beforehand, but I managed.
From there, I moved to a second stage which involved a design exercise — already a significant red flag for an internship-level role. I completed it within the time and constraints they provided, but the brief itself was very confusing. They stated I shouldn't spend more than 6 hours on it, yet the scope clearly required much more than that to do it properly.
I submitted the exercise and two days later received a generic rejection with no feedback on my work or any explanation for their decision. The whole process felt like a way to extract free work from candidates.
