Several stages, including online psychometric testing (pretty standard) before proceeding to an assessment centre with a mixture of group activity, individual interviews and written exercises. For the group activity, you are a group of c.4 people and are asked to work as a team to evaluate a number of oil fields in terms of their commercial and operable potential, and throughout the task you are provided with additional information about the company/ environment (both political, business and actual environment). You have a written exercise which is followed by a short presentation (mine was to one member of staff). The one on one interview is a mixture of HR interview about you and your motivations, plus some technical questions (not difficult for HR at this stage I didn't find).

The interview process was fair and objective. It followed a structured-interview style and ensured that I felt comfortable in the process. I was given the opportunity to ask any questions I may have had at the end of the interview, as well as throughout it.
