The interview process was structured with several steps: an initial HR call, a call with the hiring manager, a test assignment, and a group panel discussion about the test assignment, followed by an offer. Overall, the interviews themselves went fine, and I had good conversations with the team throughout.
However, the test task was quite extensive, and it was based on their existing product. In the first HR call, I clearly mentioned my salary expectations, but during the final call, I was told that my expectations were outside their budget. This created a bit of frustration, as it would have been more efficient to address the budget discrepancy earlier in the process.
