      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 giorni. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso eXp Realty (Houma, LA) nel mese di ago 2018

      Colloquio

I applied online after spending several days reading about the company and preparing. I spent a lot of time on my resume and cover letter as well. I never heard anything, so I checked the portal and saw that they were planning to call me. I thought I would get an email for an interview appointment because that's how it's always done. People need to prepare, have notes in front of them, etc.. Anyway, out of the blue, while I was out taking care of business in a rural area pretty far from home, my phone rang. I pulled over and parked the car to answer and it was their recruiter. He asked a couple of questions about how much I knew about the company. I knew a lot. Then he asked asked about my experience. I explained my education, as I am a paralegal, and I tried to explain my background in real estate law. He interrupted to ask what else I had done: "What have you done since that job?" My job history is on my resume and mentioned in my cover letter, which he clearly had not read. It's also clearly highlighted that I went to school and earned a degree with a double major. I started to tell him what he could have read on my resume and the call dropped. I immediately tried to call back, but his voicemail answered. He did not return my call. I then went to the site to check the "recruitment"page and he had written that they are pursuing other candidates. So in this 2-3 minute NON-interview, this "recruiter" never heard me say, or bothered to read on my resume and cover letter, that I have an extensive real estate background, along with related degrees, as well as paralegal and management certificates. He had an "all form and no substance" process and seemed to be more about clearing his desk than getting information to assess candidates. Very disappointing. I have the background and the interest. I was so excited about this company that I read extensively had prepared several questions. I would have done a great job for them, but the company will never know that because this guy's sloppiness, lack of professionalism and lack of understanding of the interview process is preventing qualified people from being seen by those who really deal with the substance of the business. As far as hiring qualified people, they might as well be firing in the dark. This unqualified "recruiter" is actually standing in the way of the company finding experienced, qualified people. When reviews on this site say the company is frustrating because they haven't hired qualified transaction assistance, and that the excuse is "growing pains," think about those of us who are being dropped with no information to base it on like this "recruiter" dropped me. That's the problem. There's no telling how many qualified and quality people this guy is missing by failing to read resumes and cover letters and getting rid of interviewees as quickly as he can. He is a serious liability to the growth of this company.
