This was definitely one of the best candidate interview experiences I have ever had. The whole process was very professional, considerate, and smooth. I had applied online through LinkedIn and about a day or two later, received an email asking my availability for a phone screen. Had my phone screen with the hiring manager which took about 30 minutes. The conversation was very standard and casual which really put me at ease. She explained the role and her expectations incredibly well that I was really able to determine if this was the right fit. She had also told me that I would be getting an email in a day or two about whether or not I would be moving on to the in-person interview stage. She also even provided an overview of what kind of questions I could expect if I were to get called in. About a day later, I got an email informing me that I had moved on to the next round. The interview was scheduled for the following week and it was two hours long. When I had arrived, I first received a tour of the office which was a nice icebreaker before I was taken to the conference room for the interviews. The first hour I met with 3 recruiters from the team and the second hour was with the hiring manager and VP of HR. Both interviews were a mix of standard interview questions as well as situational questions. All the interviewers were incredibly friendly and professional. They really listened to my answers and even provided detailed responses to my questions. By the end, they let me know how many interviews they had left and when I would expect to hear back about whether or not I had got the job. As promised, I received an email exactly a week later saying that I had gotten the job. Overall, fantastic candidate experience! After such a great interview experience and the additional information I learned about the company and culture, I was even more enthusiastic about joining the team.

I had a really smooth start with this company after applying. They got back to me super fast, and setting up our first chat was a breeze thanks to their handy scheduling tool (big fan of Calendly-type software). The 30-minute intro call with the recruiter felt like a good first step, and I appreciated how organized everything was. Pros: I've got to give it to them for using some cool tech to manage their recruiting. Those reminder and confirmation emails were like little lifelines, keeping me in the loop every step of the way. Cons: The journey took a bit of a turn when I found out I wasn’t moving forward, mainly because I wasn’t familiar with a certain software they use. Recruiter mentioned that they didn't have any constructive feedback to give me. Overall: Props with how streamlined and the initial steps were. Disappointed in the reasoning on the rejection.
