I feel compelled to share my concerns about the compensation for this position, as it seems significantly below industry standards. The expectation for Account Managers to generate $1.5-2 million in revenue while being offered a base salary of $70K, (OTE is capped at $110,000) feels unreasonably low for the level of responsibility and performance expected.
While I don't typically leave feedback for interviews, this situation stands out as a glaring example of how company owners can prioritize their own compensation at the expense of their staff. It's particularly frustrating when the company claims that they don't need "the best of the best" salespeople—an attitude that seems dismissive of the current team and the work they're expected to deliver.
If you are considering this role, be aware that the compensation structure may not align with your skills and experience, and you may find yourself undervalued for the level of work required. I would recommend looking elsewhere, as there are likely more competitive and fair opportunities available.
