Quick call and after that I've been asked to complete an evaluation task - a simple API returning some parsed strings from JSON. They wrote that they like solutions like DDD, automated test etc, so I spent some time to create a working example based on slimframework with DDD and Redis cache layer, all code covered with test, I created project at gitlab and build basic CI/CD path with automated deploy to Heroku. I shared the gitlab project with their dev's email, however he couldnt login - that was weird. After that I created an email account, gitlab account and shared the evaluation gitlab project with that account. That worker, I checked. After 2 weeks I got an answer that they have reviewed the application and unfortunally do not want to cooperate with me. Thats fine with me, nothing happens but they ignored my request for more detailed feedback about my evaluation task. I think I deserve for 2 more sentences about the task I spent some time and IMHO is quite respectable. That would sound like a rejected employee regret but in the whole project I added also service to log requests and API responces. It turned out that they did not event clicked throuh the app and did not see the app. Thats embarrassing.
