Interview with Sales Manager and Consultant was going well until Consultant changed the parameters of the position to "tied to a desk for 18 months to find book of business. Accounts wont close for at least 3 years - cant see you doing that etc' I call B.S. Please be more transparent and stop wasting people's time.

Review and insight into the Sales Executive interview. The interview process at iVenture Solutions was extremely disappointing and misleading which is the purpose of this review. (Interviewee Beware) The process included two phone interviews (internal recruiter and hiring manager) then a face to face interview and office tour with the hiring manager at the Orlando location. All three of these interviews went very well and were so positive the interview included discussions of an offer after a final GoToMeeting interview with an industry consultant. The GoToMeeting interview with the consultant lasted nearly two hours in part due to technical issues and was extremely intrusive but in full disclosure I was given a heads-up prior to the interview regarding the intrusiveness. By the way I think this interview is appropriate. The consultant was extremely detailed to the point his interview contradicted the job posting in particular one very important area...
...The job posting says, “You are a great candidate if....” “You have a hunter’s mentality” - What does it mean to have a hunter's mentality at iVenture?
iVenture Solutions requires the Sales Executive to make 100 cold calls per day everyday every week. This is where it became disappointing to me because my experience which was very well understood at this point did not include telemarketing type business development. If you are a solutions/relationship based “complex sales professional” beware of this requirement. It’s been my experience when selling the highest price solution by 3X this type of business development along with client meetings, relationship building, corporate client meetings, presentations, proposal review, redline negotiations and closing business is setting the sales person up for failure. Perhaps this is what the hiring manager meant when he told me “the sales team is not what it should be.”
To date it’s been over two weeks since the consultant interview, I have not heard back from anyone and this includes leaving several phone messages and emails to the internal recruiter and hiring manager. This is extremely disingenuous as I was given the task in the GoToMeeting interview to do some research to present on the next call which has never happened.
