Colloquio
Legitimately the worst and most disrespectful hiring process I have ever experienced
I was contacted by the company to participate in a hiring process. It started with a screening call where we spent an hour discussing both technical expectations and cultural fit. It seemed like a great match. I made it clear that, while I am strong in frontend development, I was not an expert in their specific tech stack, which did not seem to be an issue at the time. In fact, I was told I was a great fit for the role and was asked to complete a take-home challenge as quickly as possible.
I took a couple of days to deliver a high-quality project using their stack, showing that I was willing and capable of adapting my knowledge.
To my surprise, the urgency was meaningless. They took more than ten days to schedule the second part of the interview, which was the technical round. When it finally happened, none of the interviewers introduced themselves, and it was clear they were disengaged and not particularly interested in the conversation. They started with very basic questions about their stack. I answered everything confidently, drawing on my strongest areas of expertise, and expected we would move on to deeper topics in modern frontend engineering. That never happened. Instead, I was quickly dismissed.
At that point, I understood that I had probably been rejected. However, no official communication ever came. I was told to expect a response within seven days, but I never received any follow-up. After waiting for almost a month, I reached out to the initial recruiter and shared the same feedback I am writing here.
I was already feeling disrespected, but they managed to surprise me once again when the recruiter simply read the message and never replied.
In the end, I am actually glad I was not selected. This speaks volumes about the company culture. I am sharing my experience so that other engineers are aware and can avoid going through the same thing.
one phone screen and an onsite
phone screen had 2 technical challenges and total 45 mins
onsite had 4 challenges
Took about 4 hours for the onsite
One of the questions was how to build a web tracker for users on sites.
4 rounds First 2 with HR Last 2 with HM and Pirouz, the co founder Pirouz is unprofessional. In the 4th and final round, I met him who started the convo off by scolding my experience in technical support and how it wasn't relevant to the CSM position. He then asks what my instagram handle is and which clubs I go to in Los Angeles. Lol such weird questions to be asked in a professional interview. Glad I dodged a bullet and "family" business based on the glassdoor reviews.
