A pleasant interview process with timely follow-ups from both the internal recruiter and the hiring manager (in this case, the CEO). I was to be the first SE in the US, and while things progressed nicely, we eventually came to the benefits and salary discussion. Unfortunately, the cost of benefits with this company is sky-high and not worth it without a significant bump in compensation, which they were not willing to do. Overall, I enjoyed the people I met and the process, but the company probably needs more maturation to be competitive with benefits.
