      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 5 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso mGive (Denver, CO) nel mese di gen 2017

      Colloquio

Hiring manager (HM) reached out via email to line up a phone interview after submitting my resume (same day). First phone interview (scheduled for a few days after submitting resume) was casual. Discuss past work experience, what you are looking for, etc. HM described the company and explained they were looking to hire agressively. Since I was unable to come in for an in-person interview, I suggested a video interview which the hiring manager agreed to. When it came time for the video interview, I got a call from the hiring manager. We were on two different pages. HM bypassed the interview and went straight to discussing attending a web training and then a follow-up call to discuss and get trained on their software. This caught me offguard as we had not discussed total compensation and benefits. I also had only spoken to the hiring manager twice; I had no other contact with other team members, senior management, Hr and so forth. A vague offer letter which mentioned a benefits package but did not disclose anything about said benefit package was emailed to me Since it is a commission only position, benefits are extremely important to me so I asked for the details on the benefits package. I attended the training while I was waiting on the benefits package to be sent over. During that time, additional questions came up about the company. I followed up with additional questions and attempted to line up times to talk as well as see the benefit package (never sent like said it would be). I attempted contact through different channels (email, voicemail, calls) with no luck. Ultimately, the offer expired and all of my contacts went unanswered. Although I appreciated the confidence in my skill set and quick turnaround from submitting my resume, there were some major red flags with this company. Communication started off great but ultimately failed. I think trying to bypass an interview process is dangerous on both ends. Advise for others - this is a feel good job where you can potentially impact the non-profit sector but be careful if they are unwilling to disclose or communicate with you and want a signed acceptance letter without understanding the full package.
