I had a professional and engaging phone screening where we discussed my background, the role's responsibilities, and the company's overall mission and values. The conversation also addressed relocation preferences and salary expectations in a thoughtful and constructive manner.

First I had 2 zoom interviews each with 2 employees. It did not seem like everyone I interviewed with was on the same page or was prepared. I never actually spoke to anyone from HR, it was kind of weird how much of the interview process was outsourced to the actual employees. Especially because they did not seem to be passionate about working there - when I asked what their favorite part of their job was, their answers were at best unconvincing, and at worst alarming. Finally, I moved on to a case interview which involved data analysis and a presentation. I was super turned off that they hadn't even looked at my code that I had spent a long time working on. They also asked questions that I had already covered during the presentation, showing that they were not really paying attention. After this, I did not hear from them for almost a month, even though I reached out asking for an update after 2 weeks. When they did respond finally, they gave an extremely lame excuse for how long it took. Overall, they came off pretty sketchy and I think I dodged a bullet here.
