      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso the LEGO Group (Boston, MA) nel mese di gen 2016

      Colloquio

Probably about a month and a half after I applied, a contract recruiter contacted me to express LEGO Education's interest in me as a candidate. After a short discussion, we scheduled a phone interview for later in the week. The phone interview was pretty routine. I don't recall the questions exactly, but I remember them being pretty standard (asked about my experience, why I wanted to move on from my current company, why I thought I'd be a good fit, etc.). After about half an hour, he scheduled me for a Skype interview the following week with the manager I'd be reporting to should I be hired. I thought the Skype interview went really well. I felt I connected with the interviewer, she asked me really meaningful questions, and we had a great discussion about the company, the role itself, and what I thought I would bring to the table should they hire me. The interview lasted for about an hour, and later that afternoon, the recruiter emailed me asking when I'd be available to come in for a face-to-face interview so I could meet the rest of the marketing team. The in-person interview was at their temporary office space in Cambridge, MA (LEGO Education had recently relocated from Kansas to Boston, and their permanent offices were still being built out). The marketing manager with whom I had already interviewed greeted me at reception, and brought me back to a conference room. There, I met with the director of marketing before meeting with the other marketing manager. I thought these interviews went very well, too. I felt I connected with both new interviewers, we had great discussions about how I thought I could help the company, and I had an opportunity to show them samples of my work. The original marketing manager with whom I interviewed walked me out, thanked me for coming in, and warned me that it would take a while for them to make their decision, and that the recruiter would be back in touch with me at some point. I left feeling confident. Then, I heard absolutely nothing. They said it could take a while, so I wasn't worried at first, but after about two weeks, I emailed the recruiter to ask if there had been any movement and to let him know that I was still very interested. I heard nothing back. Over the next few weeks (and months), I tried calling and emailing the recruiter several times to ask about the status of my application. Still nothing. Then finally, three and a half months after my in-person interview, I got an email informing me that I would not be receiving an offer. As a whole, the interview process was pretty pleasant, and I really have no complaints there. And I know LEGO Education had recently relocated and was in the middle of hiring for A LOT of open positions, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I definitely think the post-interview communication could have been handled better.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

In a previous role, if a new product were being introduced, what would you and the rest of the marketing team do to support that product launch?
