      The interview process was unprofessional. There was a 3-week wait between application and first contact from the recruiter (broken only by a mental aptitude test and a personality test). This silence was eventually broken by an unscheduled phone call during a work day. When I was unable to take the call and asked to schedule a call the suggested time was "in 45 minutes?" This didn't work out which led to another day of silence from their end. When we eventually had our conversation it turns out the recruiter hadn't even googled my current employer (a global market leader in a field closely related to the position). There was no pre-defined salary range for the position. The role in question is focused on building a sales support structure from the ground. Not a single question was about how I intended to solve these problems. Instead, questions focused on previous titles. Not a single question was related to the field which I would be supporting (sales). At the end of the interview, it was revealed that it would be at least 3 weeks before the next step despite my being active in multiple other late-stage processes. The interviewer does not seem to be aware that they are screening for desperation rather than excellence. Their chosen implementation of their "wait and see" recruitment strategy is costing them great candidates. In short: work with your candidate's experience. I had higher hopes for a professional process.
