      Colloquio

      TLDR: Complete disrespect for developers' time - DO NOT apply here! Hadn't heard of the company before their recruiter approached me out of the blue. Seemed interesting enough so I attended the interview and answered their questions (many of which were essentially technical questions) and asked a few of my own to get a sense of the company. I thought things were mostly going well, especially in the second half of the interview. Of course, I also noticed that they'd suddenly posted the previously unadvertised job on LinkedIn a few hours after my interview (which, in retrospect, was extremely rude). Then a few days later I received an email from the interviewer saying that they'd decided to move forward with other candidates but without saying why. About two months later, it looked like they were still recruiting for the same position so I asked if they had any feedback regarding my own interview. They flat-out refused to give any. Apparently they don't provide feedback as a policy. It was totally disrespectful in my view and really gave a bad impression of the company culture. Furthermore, given that it's not uncommon these days for tech companies to advertise job listings for roles that don't exist (e.g., in order to fool investors or internal staff), it does call into question whether they were serious about hiring anyone at all.

We’re really sorry to hear that you felt disrespected during the process, that’s never our intention, and we appreciate the opportunity to provide some clarity. We understand how valuable feedback is. Our approach is to provide meaningful feedback that helps candidates grow. However, for early-stage screenings, especially when they focus on fundamental technical and product questions, we’ve found that simply stating which answers were incorrect isn’t as helpful as deeper, more constructive feedback, which we prioritise in later interview stages. For those later stages, we do offer feedback calls to ensure candidates receive insights that can help their development. Regarding the job posting, platforms like LinkedIn automatically scrape our listings, which means roles can appear online at different times outside our control. We completely understand how that might have looked, but we want to reassure you that we’ve been actively hiring for this position since late 2024 and have already welcomed multiple new team members into similar roles. We’re sorry that your experience didn’t reflect the culture we strive for, one of respect, transparency, and consideration for everyone’s time. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll use it to improve.
