Good environment and strong brand exposure, but limited growth opportunities

Working at AX, part of Giorgio Armani, offers great exposure to a well-established luxury brand. It is a relatively small reality within the group, which allows you to have visibility across many areas of the business and understand the brand from a 360° perspective. The merchandising department is very organized and structured and plays a key role as a link between design and the commercial side of the business. There is a strong focus on pricing, product positioning and commercial strategy. The working environment is generally pleasant and people tend to stay in the company for many years, which creates a stable and sometimes informal atmosphere. There are also nice perks such as a gym in the building, generous sample sales and beautiful Christmas gifts. The work-life balance is very good, with working hours that are generally reasonable and aligned with the company’s expectations

The relationship with the design team can sometimes be challenging, as interactions may feel quite aggressive. Career progression is limited and promotions often depend on internal connections rather than merit. The company culture is quite traditional and not very international. There is only one day of remote working per week and it cannot be taken on Mondays or Fridays. Salaries for new hires can be relatively low if you are not coming from a high-paying background, and salary increases tend to be small. In addition, some teams include people who have been in the company for many years but whose skills are not always aligned with the role.
