Vantaggi

Managers let you all individuals have a lot of potential input on the projects. They have a lot of nice perks like free sodas, often free food days, and a relaxed environment. Benefits such as insurance and retirement are standard.

Svantaggi

The hiring process and workplace is filled with secrets, selectively presented truths, and frills. They try to do everything they can to get people to work for them and stay. The technology is a horrible to work with and was written in the 80s. In fact the software is so bad that when working with it you often feel that you'd be better off ditching it all and rewriting it in C++ from scratch (literally). If you ask too many questions they quit answering them. They don't give employees concrete expectations and if you don't quickly meet their expectations they fire you immediately. All firings are done under-handedly and it seems that they fire many people. If you leave the company make sure you get a copy of all your last day paperwork in case they sue you later.

Vantaggi

I love my coworkers and bosses! The atmosphere is relaxed. You'll want to be productive because you will enjoy it! I love the location as well, so much to do -- a YMCA, restaurants, bars, trail, movie theater...

Svantaggi

Our work is pretty intimidating for the first week or so, but after that the intimidation clears.

Vantaggi

Coworkers work hard with knowledge transfer. Agile work environment. Free sodas. Occasionally free lunch during "optional" company updates. Pressure makes it feel mandatory to attend. Located in a nice area with different food choices and movie theatre.

Svantaggi

Direction is horrible. Management pushes tasks out to prevent failure of a sprint then sneak major development to happen by a team lead during a non-development Sprint. The following Sprint then gets changed to implement and unit test the functionality. This isn't the first time this activity happens. It seems to be a regular basis. Benefits are barley nominal. The CEO constantly threatens subordinates on firing everyone if sprints are not completed on time. Which goes back to management hiding tasks. The other issue is failed promises after failed promises. CEO constantly says salaries will be reviewed then keeps putting meetings and salaries off. Don't fall for this trap when being starting out. Google the company and you may see articles showing the software working in. It's not a language you will take anywhere else in your career. I'd be surprised if this company makes it to this time next year at this rate. I predict most of the developers will continue to leave as promises continue to be broken.
