What makes 1st Central a great place to work? Honestly, it's the people. That sounds like something everyone says, but at 1st Central it's genuinely true. The colleagues I've worked with are warm, supportive and actually care about each other. You can see it in the way people show up every day, how hard everyone works to deliver great outcomes, and how we still make time to come together and have fun. That kind of culture isn't something a company can just decide to have. It grows from the people in it, and we're lucky to have really good ones. The new mission and vision has been a breath of fresh air too. I finally feel like I understand where we're going and, more importantly, how I can play a part in getting there. That clarity makes a real difference when you're trying to do your best work. The flexible working opportunities here have genuinely changed things for me. I've been able to grow in my career without sacrificing the things that matter outside of it. Having that balance makes me a better employee and honestly just a happier person, and I don't take it for granted. We went through a restructure earlier this year and I won't pretend that was easy, because it wasn't. But the way it was handled really stuck with me. The people who left were treated with genuine care, enhanced pay and real support. No job lasts forever and I think most people know that. But there's a big difference between a company that pays lip service to its values and one that actually lives them when it's hard. 1st Central is the latter, and that means a lot.

As a business, we're constantly evolving and changing which is great as it gives us an edge. My only advice is to get people to come along the journey from the start and keep offering skills development for colleagues in an emerging world of AI.
