The only good thing about this job is that they try to have good culture. You can talk to your neighbor and feel comfortable being yourself. They have company values called "things." They don't emphasize the things, however. You just hear about them in training and then thats it. I need to mention this quickly in my review: DON'T WORK in the Hyundai LOB if you feel the littlest bit qualified. If you have any job experience whatsoever, then apply to work in any LOB besides Hyundai. Hyundai pays the least (look below for more information about pay) By the way LOB is line of business if you didn't know. Another pro is that getting a job here feels like "signing up" not "applying." A lot of recovering addicts and felons are given second chances. So thats a pro? The recruiters will say whatever to get you in the door for orientation. So be aware of that. One other pro is that they don't verify high school diploma or GED. I heard a girl say, "they said GED or high school diploma was required but they didn't check."

Do not work for the Hyundai LOB like i said if you feel the slightest bit employable. If you don't feel employable then this is the right LOB for you because everyone deserves a second chance. Hyundai LOB pays the least. You start of at $10.50 an hour and then after three paychecks you move up to $11 an hour and then three paychecks after that you move up to $12 an hour. whoopty doo. Then you stay at $12 forever unless you're promoted then you might get a dollar raise. The job is like McDonalds of the call center world. The "managers" at the company are like shift leaders at a fast food restaurant. You don't have to do much to get promoted. Also, you are only allowed to take a one hour lunch. Now you're probably thinking "thats normal," but no... You have to take two 30 minute lunches. and the last 5 minutes of each lunch you are scrambling to be back in your seat so you are able to punch back in on time so you don't lose an attendance point. I will talk more about attendance points in a second. Alright so basically the 60 minutes of lunch you are getting is turned into 50 minutes total because you are scrambling to be back in your spot for the last 5 minutes of each of the 30 minute lunches. also, you are allowed 10 additional minutes off the phone a day to go use the rest room or do whatever in addition to your 2 lunches. most call centers give one 60 minute lunch and allows two 15 minute paid breaks; one towards the beginning of the shift and one towards the end. not this place. alright so more about the attendance points. you start of with 8 attendance points after training is completed and u get more points by being on time. the most u can get is 16. if you're good in training and normal, then you can call off a couple days in training and it won't hurt you because the point system doesn't kick in until after training like i said. just come up with a good excuse and take a day off during training. it won't mater. you can fail and cheat on the final at the end of training anyways and still move on. Also, just to let you know if you're late by more than 3 minutes you lose one point. you lose one point for being late between 3-59 minutes i believe. after one hour you lose 3 points no matter what so everyone always says "if you're more than an hour late don't even bother coming to work unless u want the hours on your pay check, but you are going to lose 3 points no matter what." To be honest I'm not an expert on the point system because i only worked there for a short period of time. ANDDD oh yeah, you have to put all your belongings into a locker and you can get fired if they see your phone out on the call center floor.
