Organization is incredibly unorganized and unprofessional. Meetings were redundant and held way too frequently where everyone just talked over each other to be heard. Very little progress was ever made towards goals and lots of time wasted. They seem to be circling the drain and are constantly expressing money concerns. Commission deals never close. Out of the ones I opened in a year only 1 closed, and a large % of pay is off the assumption of commission. They actually pay a very low salary without commission. They laid off a huge amount of staff in 2023 resulting in HR being outsourced. There is virtually nobody available for questions or concerns with regard to HR, pay, ect. There is also no orientation process, just kind of have to hit the grounds running (they will, however, hold you responsible for anything you don’t known that should’ve been explained in an orientation). Virtually no training. Lots of politics on the sales team as well. It’s a startup. It’s all trial and error. Typically im okay with that, but this place is just pure chaos. If you value your time, advancement opportunities, and salary, then RUN!

There is a great culture at the 280 Group. The entire team is incredibly supportive and enthusiastic. I feel the company has a bright future and there is positivity about what comes next, which generates genuine excitement and comradery. The company is 100% remote and I get to work from home no matter my location. I love the work I do as a consultant and trainer, it is very rewarding. Work-life balance is great and leaders make it a point to maintain it. My direct manager (and the entire leadership team) takes a genuine interest in you as a person, which includes life after hours, not just you as a producer of work.

Svantaggi

Being a consulting company, it is a very client-driven business. This causes situations where quick pivots are necessary to satisfy a customer/account. This can cause some spikes in work that were unplanned due to shifting priorities. While I enjoy the remote work aspect the role provides, there are very few opportunities to meet with co-workers in person (employees are stationed all over the world).
