3DR has the team (our great engineers), the product (Site Scan), the partnerships (Autodesk, ESRI), and the money (cash in the door from having a strong product on the market and VC funding) to win. It is exciting to work at the intersection of flying robots, reality capture, and digitizing an $8T industry. I couldn't imagine a better place to work.

3DR has a little bit of a wild history, as evident from previous reviews. We've pivoted from DIY to consumer to enterprise, from hardware to software, and from company that openly embraced and supported the open source community to one that delivers proprietary products. Some scar tissue still exists from previous transitions, but wounds are rapidly healing.
