I got to work with some of the smartest and most driven people I have ever known.

The new management is having problems with retention.

3Scan is by far one of the most fascinating companies in the San Francisco startup space. The team is motivated by a unified vision of their nobel cause: To advance humanity by transforming biology into a quantifiable, reproducible, high precision, and scalable science that provide biomedical fields with a system-level view of the cells and tissues. Each employee possesses a high degree of intellectual drive and passion. They have created a super friendly and supportive community of like-minded free-thinking individuals. They have a communication policy not a vacation policy. Retention is astonishing: we've had only one employee leave in 5 years -- and he in sales person. The company is 45% women including one of the founders. People REALLY are more than just their work. At least half of the company makes big art or contributes to some sort of project at Burning Man. It's a place where you can bring your full self to the office. It's what company culture should look like. It feels like Bell Labs version 2.0. I've grown as a leader and a person through my relationships at this company.

Not super high paying but their culture more than makes up for it. Zero anxiety working there. Feels like a family.
