Vantaggi

Anyone below supervisor level is an absolute pleasure to work with. Fast paced environment makes the day go fast.

Svantaggi

Management and Upper management DO NOT CARE about how well you do your job, they don't care about your psychological health, they use you til burnout then spit you out. Staff turnover is HUGE! This place is the most toxic environment I have ever worked in. If you aren't a family member or a friend of someone who works there, you will be mobbed if you try to get them to fix the environment and you will be pushed out. Nepotism is rampant!!!! They are focussed on aquiring QML staff because of some sort of beef with QML and there is a huge QML clique. They pride themselves on it. We were always told it is all about the patient but really it is ALL about the bottom dollar and bonuses. Staff are treated like crap daily and they don't even follow their own procedures. If you do end up working there, get everything in writing, they like it all verbal so there is no proof. Document document document. Forget about work life balance, that isn't in their vocabulary. Don't bother asking for help, you won't get it until you begin to burn out and can't keep up anymore, then they swoop in and "fix" it so they look good, they don't fix it, they make it look like they do, then blame you for any failures.

Vantaggi

You get solid hands-on experience quickly, especially in high-volume clinics. It’s a good place to build confidence and learn how to work efficiently under pressure. Some clinics have supportive doctors and staff, which can make a noticeable difference to the day.

Svantaggi

The experience depends almost entirely on where you are placed. In high-volume sites, the workload can be consistently heavy, and the expectation to maintain both speed and perfect accuracy can feel unrealistic over time. There is often an expectation to guide or support newer staff while still managing a full patient load, without any adjustment to workload or formal recognition. This adds to the pressure particularly in already demanding environments. Requests for support, site changes, or workload adjustments when feeling burnt out are not always acted on even when raised early. Follow-through can be inconsistent which can leave staff feeling stuck in difficult conditions. There were also instances where requests around contract changes were acknowledged but not progressed which can be frustrating when hours are already consistent. Career progression can be limited even for staff with relevant education and qualifications which may make it difficult to grow beyond the role. Support for employee wellbeing appears limited particularly in high-pressure sites where the demands are ongoing. This can make it difficult for staff to sustain their workload long term. At times, there appears to be a level of familiarity in hiring and internal dynamics that can make opportunities and support feel uneven across staff.
