Vantaggi
Constantly evolving, in a positive way. Pay and benefits are reviewed reasonably regularly and seem to be competitive compared with other agencies. Some benefits are better than others - personally, I really like the discounted travel. Private healthcare was added last year too and is really comprehensive. Management are very open with how the business is performing. For example, during the pandemic, we were all kept informed about the good and the bad, which gave me a lot of confidence in the leadership. The business did well during the pandemic and is growing consistently now too. Has adapted well to the post-pandemic working world - flexible working with the option of hot desking or a dedicated desk. Office is pretty incredible - very central, with views of Edinburgh castle. Agency is very well known in the travel and hospitality industry (and has some amazing clients) so if you have a passion for this industry - it's a fantastic place to work.
Svantaggi
You are expected to set and manage your own workload to a degree (although this does seem to vary by department) - but personally I enjoy having the autonomy. In a similar vein, there is some reliance on self-directed learning, although quite a lot of training is available and they are putting more structure around learning and development. Role progression isn't always as clearly mapped out as it could be (and does seem to vary by department), but again I know there's work being done on this too.
