Vantaggi
Remote work with no micromanaging- They trust you to be grinding as hard as everyone else Autonomy - You're so independent it hurts Creative contributions - The team will always consider your input, no matter how crazy it sounds. You have the opportunity to make real, lasting change at a startup that takes chances, makes mistakes, and learns from those experiences. The People - The real highlight of working here. You'll be working with some brilliant people who come at the industry with fresh viewpoints, real experience, and a willingness to think outside the box. They care about the people they're helping, as well as the folks they're working with. You never question whether or not someone else isn't doing as much as you, because everyone is giving 100% to the cause. Vacation time - They treat you like a grownup!
Svantaggi
Lack of feedback - Easy to feel disengaged, especially if you're remote. Make sure you understand your accomplishments and contributions, and that the work you do is enough to fulfill you. There's no praise or reward for doing well, which is fine, but if you're the kind of person who runs on kudos, working here remotely is NOT for you. Heck, if you're the kind of person who runs on feedback at all, you won't like it here. Senior Management is kind of obscure - You probably won't know who your boss is until you're already in trouble. No real transparency as far as how the company operates, where its headed, and who is in charge of what. Lack of direction - You're expected to do what you signed up to do, which may be a little vague, and you're expected to know what that is without direction. Difficult if you're not a self-starter that is motivated to improve things.
