If you are not hired as a billable employee, you are treated like dirt. Every week you are worrying if they are going to outsource your role and pay someone in the Philippines to replace you, even if/when the quality of work will drop exponentially. Yearly increases were miniscule, they did not keep up with cost of living. The company nickels and dimes everything, there is zero thought given to how morale is in the toilet or how to improve it. The happiest day of my life was when I walked out the door on my last day.....
