Vantaggi
I suppose it could always be worse.
Svantaggi
This company is deeply resistant to change and stuck in outdated practices. The building's interiors are old, and many employees have been with the company for so long that there's little room for innovation or new ideas. Management positions are occupied by individuals who are there simply due to tenure rather than competence, and are a significant barrier to growth and improvement. Many long-tenured employees are underperforming and yet still drawing salaries. The company has a reputation for being excessively frugal, which extends to the office environment. Cleanliness is an issue, and there seems to be little regard for employee health, as there’s no enforcement of staying home when sick since there is such a push to be in office with such a watchdog mentality. The in-office policy is more like an unnecessary exercise of control rather than for productivity. The bulk of work and meetings are still done virtually through MS Teams, which undermines the point of having a physical office presence in the first place. The floating-in-office day of your choice is useless and simply does not make sense. The company would be better off keeping it at 2 days and providing their employees a little bit of benefit rather than trying to mimic what they think other companies are doing. The benefits on the other hand have not been reviewed or changed for years, pay is under the market; the company is lacking heavily in that area compared to peer companies. Don’t even get me started on what some management gets away with behind the company’s back.
